CSM accessory tray instructions

CSM Accessory Trays For Erlbacher Speedster and Reduced Ratio cases. Instructions for use.

Tools and accessories shown are not included.

a) Heel weight tray (a); This tray slides under the shelf on the back wall of the case. Remove the clamp screw from the CSM base and place it in the hole located in the upper right corner of the tray. Remove the crank handle and place the fitted bolt with the nut in the slot in the upper right corner of the tray. See photo 1 tray (a), photos 2 & 3. The small holes along the front edge of the tray are to place screws in as you remove the the CSM from the case.

b) Knitting tool tray (b); The pick, latch-up tool, buckle, EON, and crescent tool fit in this tray. There is also a pocket for notions. This tray is placed in the front of the case after the CSM is in position in the crate. See photo 1 tray (b) & photo 6.

c) Maintenance tool tray (c); this tray holds the tools for adjusting and maintaining the CSM. It is placed in the front of the case on top of tray (b). See photo 1 tray (c) & photo 7. The two small holes in the lower left corner are to put the cylinder screws into while you swap cylinders. The large pocket on the left side is for a spare heel spring weight. There is a pocket at the front for a cleaning brush (not included).

Slide the heel weight tray (a) with the heel weights under the shelf all the way to the back.

Put the stem weight in place and fasten it down with the Erlbacher supplied screw.

 Attach the crank handle and mast topper on the right side of the case with the Erlbacher supplied screws and washers. These screws are awkward to reach once the CSM is in place.

Put the CSM in place and secure it with the Erlbacher supplied screws. Set the ribber pin flush with top of the bracket so you can close the lid. Please Note: the clamping screw must be removed from the base to fit above the heel weights.

Set the knitting tool tray (b) in place in front of the CSM.

Set the maintenance tool tray (c) in the front of the case on top of the knitting tool tray (b).

Slide the mast into place under the CSM corner to corner.

Secure the middle and top stem weights. Secure the extra cylinder and ribber. Drop the screwdriver in its hole in the shelf and the case is ready to close.
