Economy Mitten Blockers
Economy Mitten Blockers are priced and sold by the pair.
They are made from 1/8 inch (3mm) baltic birch plywood. Each blocker is carefully hand checked to ensure they are smooth and snag-free.
They are hand finished with five coats of polyurethane, and two coats of hand buffed paste furniture wax to protect against moisture when blocking your handknit mittens.
Economy Mitten Blockers are made without the engraved embellishments and fancy cut-outs of the Premium Mitten Blockers but they are finished to the same high quality as our Premium Mitten Blockers.
Due to the nature of wood there will be differences in grain and colour.

Using the included thumb blocker:
The thumb blocker can be attached in different positions using the included twine but the simplest way is to insert the thumb blocker in the mitten thumb and then inserting the mitten blocker into the mitten.
Blocker sizes are roughly based on the mitten size chart from Knititnow.com. There is a negative ½ inch (13mm) ease on the hand and cuff width.
